Care Guide

Built to last.
Treat it right.

Talo towels are made for the wear and tear of everyday life. A little care keeps them performing like day one.

How to care for your towels

01

Before first use

  • Wash new towels once before you use them. It rinses out any loose fibres left over from production.
  • Wash new black, red and orange towels on their own the first few times, in case the colour bleeds.

02

Washing

  • Machine wash in warm water, never hotter than 60°C (140°F). Too much heat damages the fibres.
  • Use a mild liquid detergent that rinses clean, with as little dye and perfume as possible.
  • Wash microfiber only with other non-linting fabrics. No cotton in the same load.
  • Sort by colour like the rest of your laundry: bright and dark towels apart from light ones.

03

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low heat or no heat, or simply hang to dry.
  • Never iron your towels.

Never

No fabric softener

Softener coats and clogs the microfibers, so the towel stops absorbing and stops grabbing dirt.

No bleach

Chlorine bleach breaks the fibres down early and kills the static charge that pulls in dust and dirt.

No harsh powders

Strong washing powders and harsh detergents strip the fabric and make it lose its softness.
